N. Scott Adzick, MD, MMM,has been an innovator in the field of fetal medicine since its inception, pursuing groundbreaking prenatal treatment for debilitating birth defects. He is Surgeon-in-Chief at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and founder and director of the Richard D. Wood Jr. Center for Fetal Diagnosis and Treatment (CFDT), the largest fetal therapy center of its kind. He is also the C. Everett Koop Professor of Pediatric Surgery at CHOP and a Professor of Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.

Dr. Adzick co-led the NIH-funded Management of Myelomeningocele Study (MOMS) at CHOP, breakthrough research proving fetal surgery for spina bifida results in significantly improved outcomes.
